V-V-VIDEO

Dim your lights, get some candy, pour yourself a few drinks and enjoy the show!
If it doesn't seem funny and I sound really off key - pour a few more drinks!

omg! look at you checking out my blog!

So, so...did you like my show? Did you? Did you? PLEEEEASE stroke my ego in the comments below. And read on for a synopsis of all the shows!

annie

Everyone on the planet, even on MARS, has seen Annie so I'll move on...

a chorus line

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! A Chorus Line is about a whole slew of multi-culti peoples trying out for a Broadway and you hear their story along the way (hey, I'm a poet!) They made a movie out of it in the 80s - check it out!

they're playing our song

I loved this show but the song from it got cut so I wouldn't SING you to death in my show! It's about this guy and girl and they're both composers and they used to be lovers...and they work on a project and become lovers again. I saw it starring Lucie Arnez (Lucille Ball's daughter) and I wrote her a letter and told her she was WAY better than her mom!

cats

ME-OUCH! I have no idea what Cats is about. The music is ok but the show is a HOT KITTY LITTERED MESS!

fame

Fame is the reason gLee exists! It was a movie and then a TV show and it took place at the High School of the Performing Arts! The movie was musical...and deep...and the show had singing on it every week - they'd just bust out in a song in the middle of the cafeteria or the middle of the street (see pic.) "You want fame, well fame costs...and right here's where you start paying for it...in SWEAT!"

hair

Hair is a hippy dippy show about a whole buncha kids who didn't want to go to Vietnam so they burned their bras and their draft cards and did drugs and sang naked in the streets. Go Hair!

free to be you and me

This is another hippy show about love, boy/girl/man/woman stereotypes and a whole bunch of other groovy themes popular in the 70s. Peace!

les mis

I really should know what this play is about because I saw it four times but...I don't! I just liked listening to the love songs. And the sucky thing is, the girl in love does NOT get the guy! BOO! Or as the French say...BOO! (What do the French say??)

miss saigon

Ohhh, I LOVED Miss Saigon. It's about this U.S. soldier, Chris, who's goes to Vietnam to fight and ends up meeting this Vietnamese woman, Kim. They fall in love and get "married" ...but then some big attack happens and they're separated. Chris ends up back in the U.S. Kim ends up in Vietnam...and pregnant. He is sad and lonely back home but he meets Trina, who helps him get his life back together. Meanwhile Kim is waiting in Vietnam for Chris to come and get her and their son. She has NO IDEA he's moved on. One day, Chris' friend, John convinces Chris to goes to 'Nam to see Kim because she has something to tell him. He goes with Trina. She doesn't know about his "marriage" to Kim but she finds out before he tells her. She's devastated. Kim is devastated. Chris finds out about the son and he's devastated. Kim knows that she and Chris can't be together and she wants a good life for their child so she...BIG SPOILER ALERT...kills herself so their son can go live with Chris and Trina in the U.S. Big sigh.... It is sooooo sad, yet beautiful and wonderful.

little mermaid

You've totally seen the Little Mermaid, right??

falsettos

Falsettos is this totally bizarre and hysterical musical about:
Marvin - a dad
Trina - his ex-wife
Wizzer - Marvin's gay lover
Mendel - Marvin and Trina's shrink who falls in love with Trina
Jason - Marvin & Trina's 13 year-old son who's about to have his Bar-Mitzvah.

It's totally random...and fab!

rent

Rent is a rock opera based on the "it's not over until the fat lady sings" opera, La Boheme. It's all about these starving artists & musicians living in the east village struggling to make moolah and be creative in NYC during the era of HIV/AIDS. It sounds depressing and it sorta is, but it's also a really awesome love story.

hedwig and the angry inch

Hedwig is a glam rock musical about a fictional rock n' roll band lead by an East German Transgender singer. It tells his/her story about her botched sex change operation and finding love (or not so much...) It sounds freaking weird but it'll make you cry! They made it into a movie so rent it on Netflix.

spring awakeing

Spring Awakening is a rock musical adaptation of the 1891 German play with the same name. Set in the nineteenth century Germany, it's all about teenagers who are discovering their sexuality The original play was banned because it's pretty saucy with all of the sex and other things that I'll refrain from talking about in case any children are reading this blog. LOVED IT!

gLee

Glee is currently the freaking best musical show on the planet. It's dramedy about a high school show choir/glee club called "New Directions", at William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. It rocks (literally) and the second season premieres tonight at 8:00 on FOX! SET YOUR DVRS!
